Pele: Preface

Old but the Golden History in the World
(Phase:1)



I feel proud to write something about one of the most popular football player Pele. I heard his name from my boyhood from my forefather. My grandfather was very much fond of him. I heard the appraisal regarding the art of the games done by Play. That was really cheerful and enjoyable. My grandfather took challenge to others having confidence to be the winner of Pele’s team. Most of the time, my grandfather won the challenge. He remained very much busy in watching T.V. without sleeping or even taking meal for two or three days. Now I feel that how crazy he was! Any way, I like to write something now on our dearest player -Pele.


Pele is his nickname. Full name is Edison Arantes do Nascimento. Arantes was his foremost family name and Nascimento was the next one but he was well known and popular by his nickname Pele. He was born in October 23, 1940 in Tres Coracoes, Brazil.
Pele was a retired Brazilian football player in spite of his birth certificate being shown his foremost name as Edison, this was as Pele that he had become a generous celebrity and was comprehensively regarded by polls amongst football experts, former players and fans. He was the most popular and greatest football player of all time.

Pele was recognized As a state hero in his citizen Brazil and was renowned for his events and assist to the football game as well as being officially acknowledged as football ambassador of the world by FIFA. He was leading a national fortune by the Brazilian government. He was popular for his vocal piling up of strategy to get better social condition for the deprived people. In view of that, one day when he scored his one thousandth goal he dedicated it to the underprivileged children of Brazil. Later, he was distinguished as “The King of Football” or “The King Pele or else just “The King”.



Pele started playing at his early age 15 and scattered as football star. After that at the age of 16, he began to play at his national team and surprising that he won his first World Cup at his early age 17. Pele took place as an inside forward, striker and playmaker position in his games. Pele’s technique and usual athleticism was commonly acceptable and praised by all. He was famous for his exceptional trickling and for his pace, great shot, wonderful heading skill and ingenious goals-corning.


He became the part of three World Cup-winning teams and all timer-leading scorer of the Brazil national football team. During the World Cup 1962, he was injured and suffered in the second match and he wasn’t capable to play the rest of the contests. In November 2007 FIFA announced that he would be awarded the medal in 1962 retroact for making himself the only player in the world having three World Cup winning medals.

After his retirement in 1977, Pele had been a widespread envoy for football undertaking a various performing roles and commercial endeavors.
